Toila Jahtklubi MTÜ implemented a project under the measure “Community-led local development support for the 2021–2027 period” of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021–2027 implementation plan. The project, “Expanding training opportunities for young sailors through the acquisition of three centreboard boats”, resulted in the purchase of three RS Feva centreboard boats and pop-up tents.
The aim of the project was to promote maritime traditions by providing children and young people with an accessible opportunity to take up sailing. Acquiring additional centreboard boats increases the number of young people who can start or continue sailing training. It also improved the club’s ability to provide high-quality instruction and develop the next generation of Estonian sailing. The total project cost was €33,452.24, of which €30,132.61 was grant support. The co-financing was covered by Jõhvi Vald.
